Resided in Coromandel area since 1975 Dave is a self employed architectural designer and beekeeper. Joined the Kapowai Group in 2003.

Semi retired surgeon he describes himself as a conservationist. He is dedicated to the preservation of Kiwi in our local area. He has attended Hui held throughout the country concerning the protection and growth of indigenous wildlife.

Technical Advisor
Benson Lockhart
Born and bred on the Coromandel with a keen interest in protecting the biodiversity of the area. He has worked over the past decade on the front line protecting the peninsulas biodiversity Was employed by the Department of Conservation as a biodiversity threats ranger based in Coromandel town. Duties included animal and plant pest control and monitoring. Currently employed by the Waikato Regional Council as a biosecurity officer for pest plants for the Coromandel peninsula.
Trapper
Natalie Collicott
Natalie Collicott is our pest control contractor, responsible for clearing and baiting over 200 traps each month in the Kapowai Kiwi Care block. She is an experienced conservationist and also contracts to neighbouring conservation groups and DOC. Prior to taking on the role, Natalie spent six years as the Coordinator for Moehau Environment Group, a community conservation group based north of Colville. Natalie is passionate about grassroots conservation and has a Masters in Environmental Science from Victoria University. She lives in Whitianga with her husband.
